Monday 26th November, was the first day of the case of Segun Oni versus Kayode Fayemi at the Federal i Court, Ado Ekiti, New Iyin Road.
Some miscreants and hoodlums, who are suspected supporters of Dr. Kayode Fayemi, armed with dangerous weapons like cutlasses, sticks and charms, barricaded all roads leading to the court.
They searched all vehicles passing through their roadblocks and boasting to kill any lawyer coming to court to defend Segun Oni in the case. Good enough we were able to identify the leaders of these miscreants and thugs.
They specifically mentioned name of lawyers and leaders of the Segun Oni group they intended to kill. They were boasting that when they kill as many as possible, they will withdraw the case from the court. We all remember a similar cold blooded assassination of a top aide to Chief Segun Oni recently.
Thank God for the professionalism of the police and other security agencies, peace was restored at the court and on the way out of the court, the second and third sittings on the case.
The court on Friday 30th November adjourned for December 10, 2018 for judgment.
This is why these people are now planning to set Ekiti State on fire. And this is why we, the Concern Youths of Ekiti are quickly exposing their resolutions.
Meetings of the leaders of the thugs of Governor Fayemi were held on Saturday December 1, 2018, at Ado and Iyin Ekiti.
We are deliberately keeping the names of the attendees and especially their four prominent leaders to ourselves for now for the purpose of investigation but are available on demand by competent authorities.
They have jointly planned and resolved to organize other people, to attack the homes of Senator Tonny Adeniyi (lead lawyer to Segun Oni) and that of Dr Ifeoluwa Arowosoge (one of the lawyers and DG to Oni’s Campaign Organization), set their houses and property ablaze in Ado and Ikere Ekiti and kill anybody found in the houses. Also approved for random targeting and attacks, are key leaders and members of the Segun Oni Group in and out of Ado Ekiti.
They planned to carry out these attacks any time before and after the judgement of 10th Dec, 2018, until the case is withdrawn by Chief Segun Oni from the court.
Inside sources at the meetings confirmed that the four main leaders of the thugs will meet and convey their plans to Governor Kayode Fayemi for approval and logistics support.
Governor Kayode Fayemi and Chief Segun Oni belong to the same political party, APC and are leaders in Ekiti and Nigeria. So, what is their problem?
Ekiti has always been a peaceful place for all, Governor Fayemi should not allow his hangers-on to cause mayhem or setting the state on fire.
History is there for all to learn from or relive it. What brought Nigeria to her knees and invited the military to government after so much bloodshed and later the unfortunate civil war, started like this, between two Yoruba leaders in the same political party.
Caution is the watch word. Retaliation is always greater than the first action as nobody has the monopoly of violence. Governor Fayemi should call his thugs to order.
Everybody may know when the first match is scratched, but nobody knows what and who the conflagration will consume and when it may end. We call our traditional rulers, the religious leaders and the community leaders to quickly call their wards to order.
And finally, we call on the law enforcement and other security agencies to do their jobs. We cannot afford another assassination, it will not be tolerated. We cannot see the ashes of another inferno.
A word is enough for the wise.
CONCERN EKITI YOUTHS
WHY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM GOING TO COURT
On Monday 26, November 2018, some thugs blocked the roads leading to the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. Identified among them was Femi Olanrewaju aka Ijakoko, a former aide to Segun Oni, who is now a senior thug to Governor Kayode Fayemi.
For the years Fayemi was in courts against Governor Segun Oni, no one blocked any road to any court or in any way attempted to impede the course of justice. Ijakoko as part of Segun Oni boys was never a thug and they never acted against or alter the mood of civility.
Are the Ijakoko militias now acting on their own impulse or on the instruction from the governor? Are their actions a reflection of the body language or the tacit or implicit approval of the boss? Can all these be related to the wave of murders and assassination already on record in Ekiti State recently?
Chief Anthony Adeniyi was the lead counsel for Dr. Kayode Fayemi for three and half years without any single molestation, intimidation or threat to his life. But he just luckily escaped from the militias and had to be ferried to the court by the security agencies.
As Chief Security Officer, no one else is safe if a governor sponsors, encourages or tolerates lawlessness? If this is the new face of Ekiti, Ekiti is all in trouble!
