The Lead Visioner/Chairman, Jandor Foundation and the CEO of CoreTV, Mr. Olajide Adediran has earnestly called for timely and quick action to rehabilitate the Lagos/Badagry Expressway.
Adediran made this call while speaking recently on the “Challenges of Leadership and National Development in Nigeria at the annual leadership training programme, Department of Public Administration, Lagos State University (LASU).
He further lamented the sorry state of Lagos/Badagry Expressway and called for a quick fix of the road.
While analysing the huge revenue coming into the state through the Badagry route, the Jandor Foundation Boss justified that as the major parameter to fix the road.
He blamed lack of emotional intelligence from the leaders for the bad road and called for redress.
“How do we explain the situation we have on the Badagry Expressway if it is not share wickedness and lack of emotional intelligence?
“There is no excuse for such in the first place. In a state that generates over forty billion naira monthly and to mop up seven billion to send contractors back to site becomes a problem. This is not done anywhere in the world,” he said.
He emphasized the influence that leaders like Obafemi Awolowo, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola have on the state and advised others to emulate their styles.
“Leadership is simply and nothing but about influence…”
It will be recalled that Jandor Foundation is a non profit and non governmental organization that has been empowering people in Nigeria.
The foundation currently has about ten LASU students on their scholarship list among other students from other tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
